Cannock Indoor Market:
Cannock indoor market, in Staffordshire, was originally warmed by
underfloor heating. This caused problems, particularly for traders
selling fresh produce as the heat source caused damage to some of
the goods. An alternative method of heating had to be found to provide
heat across the approximately 10,000 sq. ft. market hall. Tansun found
the solution - a system of Apollo heaters which could be fitted neatly
onto the ceiling and operated via a dedicated Tansun control system.
By directing the heaters into the aisles, traders and their customers
could be kept warm without any damage to perishable goods. As well
as being silent and environmentally friendly the Apollo quartz heaters
are also very economical to run, providing heat from the moment they
are turned on.
Since the Apollo heaters were fitted, Cannock traders and their thousands
of regular customers have never looked back.
